Bunad Parade on Gamle Hvam in Nes, Romerike

Gamle Hvam farm arranged this parade Sunday August 20th to honour the Romeriks Bunad model L40s 60 years anniversary in 2000.

All the pictures are taken by my good friend Aina. She is getting her new bunad in December, a dark green Romeriksbunad model L40.

Some of the pictures is a bit unclear, because it is taken without zoom. But, I am sure you can see the beauty in the bunads afterall.

l40svart.JPG (50677 bytes)This picture shows two very special variants of the model L40. (L40 was finished in 1940) In the front to the left, is a black bunad with yellow embroideries. Then, the blue one with red embroideries! (All the Romerike bunads have yellow embroideries). Those two are "one of a kind", they were made during WW2, and that was what they had of wool and yarn to make the bunads for the girls confirmation.
l40rygg.JPG (53309 bytes)Here you can see the back of the model L40. You can also see the color-variants, blue, red and dark green. You can also get this bunad in clear green. (same color as "my" bunad).
l461.JPG (62299 bytes)This is the model L46, finished in 1946. The one to the right is the most used one, with red bodice and blue-green skirt. The blue one is not "right", as if you want this in one color it is in either green (as mine), red or blue-green.
l55a.JPG (28735 bytes)The L55 was finished in 1955. It was made with brocade bodice, in either golden yellow or green. The skirts in either red or blue-green.
romalle1.JPG (128556 bytes)Here you can see almost all the variants of the Romerike bunad, with the different color-variations, also the "Helgedags-" and the "Hverdags" bunads.
rommann.JPG (78608 bytes)The mens bunad was first shown in 1952, made by Åsmund Svinndal from Kolbotn together with Heimen Husflid. Notice the little boy! In the same bunad as the men!
